With the main purpose of convincing the Application Server-wielding companies of the Silicon Valley that Trifork EAS is the best choice around I returned to California with my colleague Henrik Ibsen. It had been more than two years since my hasty retreat from the edge of the world and all of western civilization following the untimely demise of the third dot-com venture I had there.

In the previous weeks I had been busy dusting off my US-of-A based network and had managed to arrange a couple of meetings with target companies despite a less than perfect climate for business. Henrik on the other hand, had gotten us involved in speaking at the Web Services SIG, a local group of web services enthusiasts. The topic of my talk was on XP, agile development and code generation based on a real world project.
